ATLANTA — A federal judge Thursday dismissed a lawsuit filed by Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr against Lt. Gov. Burt Jones that had sought to limit his rival's fundraising in the 2026 governor's race.
The two Republicans are both campaigning for their party's nomination in the gubernatorial contest.
U.S. District Judge Victoria Marie Calvert determined Carr and his campaign "lack standing" to sue and subsequently dismissed the suit.
"We are reviewing all legal options to right this wrong," Carr campaign spokeswoman Julia Mazzone said.
