Recent Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) data reveals that almost 1.7 million elderly people are now receiving extra financial assistance via Attendance Allowance. The scheme provides weekly payments of either £73.90 or £110.40, aimed at assisting those of State Pension age with everyday living costs. These funds are distributed every four weeks.
