College football legend Lee Corso wasn’t in position Saturday to make a headgear pick for LSU in his final “College GameDay” show on ESPN.
Instead, he did one better: He picked LSU to win the national championship.
Early in the program in Columbus, Ohio, before the Texas-Ohio State game, Corso revealed his final four for this year’s College Football Playoff. He had Penn State beating Notre Dame in one semifinal, LSU beating Clemson in a rematch in the other, and LSU beating Penn State in the CFP championship game in Miami.
“LSU, the nation’s number transfer portal and a veteran quarterback,” said Corso, referring to Garrett Nussmeier. “LSU wins the national championship.”
