The man at the centre of a murder investigation in Newton Heath has been named by heartbroken friends and family as Kailem Gibson.
He died in hospital on Saturday morning (August 30) after being stabbed in an incident on Gilmerton Drive on Friday evening (August 29). Police and paramedics were called at around 7.25pm. Mr Gibson, 28, is understood to have been a father.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He was being quizzed by detectives on Saturday afternoon. A 44-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Mr Gibson has been named on social media as tributes continue to flood in.
