The Atlanta Braves have activated left-handed starting pitcher Chris Sales from the 60-day IL and optioned right-hander Nathan Wiles to Triple-A. Sale will be making his first start since June today against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Wiles joined the active roster yesterday but is heading back to Gwinnett. He appeared in one game for in April.

As for Sale, he made 15 starts prior to fracturing his ribs and had struck out his typically robust 11.5 batters per nine innings. After some early season struggles, he had rounded back into the form that saw him with the 2025 National League Cy Young Award and pitcher’s Triple Crown.

Sale will look to help the Braves pick-up a win against the division-leading Phillies after dropping the last two games to Philadelphia.
