COLFAX, Wash. – The driver killed in a crash Friday night near Colfax has been identified and more details have been released about the incident.

According to a Washington State Patrol memo, the crash happened around 7 p.m. on Highway 195 . Troopers said a Subaru Outback with four passengers was heading south when its driver allegedly made an unsafe pass and crashed with a northbound Honda Accord driven by 67-year-old Sandra Hall.

The Accord veered off the roadway and came to rest upside down on the west shoulder. Hall died at the scene, WSP said.

WSP said that the driver and passengers in the Outback were injured, and some were airlifted to a hospital.

WSP said the crash was caused by unsafe passing, and charges are pending against the Outback’s driver.
