BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football safety Byron Baldwin Jr. will miss the team's season opener against Old Dominion on Saturday.

The true freshman was the only player listed on IU's availability report released before the game.

Baldwin's absence leaves the Hoosiers thin at a position already facing uncertainty with veteran Louis Moore's future in limbo as the lawsuit he filed against the NCAA works its way through court and only six scholarship players at the position.
