MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA, Ind. — An 18-year-old is in critical condition after a car crash in Madison County early Saturday morning.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department said deputies responded to a report of a personal injury crash on State Road 9, just south of County Road 800 North, around 7:15 a.m. Aug. 30.

When deputies arrived on scene, they said the crash was "significant in nature" and called the Madison County Sheriff’s Department Crash Investigation Team for additional help.

Based off preliminary information, police said a 2008 blue Infiniti G35 was heading northbound on State Road 9 when the car left the road, went into the grass median and crossed back over the northbound lanes before going off the east side of the road and rolling onto its roof.
