The Daily Beast reports Former White House staffer Kellyanne Conway praised President Donald Trump for putting the picture of a man back on a restaurant logo.
Conway, who was filling in for “Sean Hannity Show” host Sean Hannity, congratulated Trump for personally pressuring restaurant chain Cracker Barrel to revert to an older image depicting the restaurant name next to the image of a man resting in a chair next to a barrel.
The newer logo, which consisted of just the restaurant name, was judged too “woke,” and Conway praised Trump for “taking control of these areas that used to belong to the left.”

“He is authentic all the way,” said Conway, who served as senior counselor under the first Trump administration. “Look at what he’s doing at the Kennedy Center. Look at what he’s doing at universities. Look at what he’s doing with sports. It’s super exciting.”
The Daily Beast reports Conway went on to describe he Cracker Barrell reversion as the latest case of the president intervening in “the arts and sports and entertainment and media and tech and culture.”
Right-leaning libertarian columnist Megan McArdle expressed confusion at what was so “woke” about a plain company name compared to a man in a chair.
“Here we are again, trying to turn a struggling restaurant chain into a metaphor for American politics,” McArdle said, adding that “this time, the president’s son has joined the unhinged, retweeting a post from an account called Woke War Room that had, for some unaccountable reason, gotten mad about the change.”

“The chain was founded in 1969 — not 1776. It adopted the country branding because down-home cooking and folksy kitsch were trendy back then, not because they were trying to restore America to the Good Ole Days,” McArdle said. “Now, the market has moved on, and Cracker Barrel has been trying to adapt.”
