A former sub-postmaster who is serving life in prison for murdering his wife is making another attempt to appeal against his conviction.

Campaigners say Robin Garbutt’s conviction is unsafe because it was partly based on evidence from the flawed Horizon Post Office computer system.

Although Garbutt was never charged with theft, the prosecution used Horizon data to argue their case. They claimed he had been stealing and that that had been his motive for murder.
