A killer, who was serving a life sentence for murdering a homeless man over a dispute involving £12, has passed away in prison. Terence Townsend was one of four men convicted of the brutal murder of John Dunn, following a 'brutal and sustained attack'.
The court heard that Mr Dunn, aged 45, endured over 100 injuries after being assaulted upon returning from Tesco without any alcohol. Townsend, aged 68, died at HMP Buckley Hall in Rochdale in February due to a heart tear, according to a report.
