STEPHEN A. Smith is hoping to land a mega payday like the rest of the US by winning the billion dollar Powerball jackpot.

The Powerball jackpot soared to an incredible $1 billion this weekend after nobody won the grand prize on Wednesday.

Smith, 57, is one of many Americans who will be hoping to be the lucky winner of that eye-watering figure.

And the iconic sportscaster shared his dreams of the cash hitting his bank account in an Instagram video shared with his 5.1m followers.

Smith , who earns a pretty penny in his role with ESPN, filmed himself entering a local gas station to buy his lucky ticket.
