CVS Health is unable to offer updated annual COVID-19 vaccinations in several states, including Massachusetts, until a regulatory hurdle is cleared.

A spokesperson for CVS told The Hill not that “based on the current regulatory environment,” the pharmacy chain will no offer the vaccinations as normal in the following states and territories:

Arizona

Colorado

Florida

Georgia

Kentucky

Louisiana

Maine

Massachusetts

Nevada

New Mexico

New York

North Carolina

Pennsylvania

Utah

Virginia

West Virginia

District of Columbia

To offer the shots, pharmacists in these locations must have a recommendation from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) panel.
