LOWVILLE, New York (WWNY) - Bagpipes, a hammer on an anvil, and the clash of swords. These are the sounds of the first ever Lewis County Renaissance Faire.

“It feels amazing to see people,” said Executive Director of Youth of Lewis County Wyatt Wagner. “It’s been a rocky road over the last few days trying to get the last details and make sure we have the volunteers we need.”

Hosted by youth of Lewis County, the festival, which spans the entire fairgrounds, features a pirate encampment, archery, and even a series escape rooms with horse stalls doubling as a dungeon.

Its also a fundraiser. The cost of admission will help youth of Lewis County host future programs.
