PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Firefighters in Providence quickly knocked down a house fire that broke out Saturday afternoon.
Battalion Chief Ryan Desmarais said crews responding to O'Connor Street were met with smoke coming from the second floor.
According to Desmarais, most of the damage was exterior and concentrated to the home's second floor porch.
Nobody suffered any injuries and all the people inside were able to get out safely.
The fire's cause is under investigation, Desmarais said, but a cigarette may have contributed.
