Kamil Majchrzak made a young fan’s day at the U.S. Open.

After defeating Karen Khachanov of Russia on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the tournament, the Polish tennis player signed memorabilia for fans in the stands.

In footage shared on social media , Majchrzak seemingly went to give the hat he was wearing to a child in the stands. But the hat was intercepted by an adult next to him, who grabbed the cap from Majchrzak and stuffed it into a bag. The boy could be heard in the video asking, “What are you doing?”

While Majchrzak didn’t appear to notice the interaction in real time, he later became aware of the incident and took to social media in an attempt to find the young fan. Sky News reported that after the moment
