Four residents at Primrose Retirement Community were taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after the building was evacuated for reportedly high carbon monoxide levels.

The Campbell County Fire Department and Campbell County Health EMS teams responded to a call at Primrose shortly after 7:30 p.m. With the help of the Gillette Police Department, residents were evacuated.

Director of Nursing Tonya Wynne said that of the 80 residents, four were transported to Campbell County Health but as a precautionary measure because the carbon monoxide levels in their living areas were higher than in other areas.

The building was ventilated, and the fire department conducted investigations of all the apartments and living areas in the facility. Just after 9 p.m. Tuesday, crews gave the all clear so resi
