COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The 19th-ranked Texas A&M football team overcame a sluggish offensive start and several defensive miscues to notch its first win of the season over UTSA, 42-24.

However, it was a pair of transfer wide receivers that stole the show for the Aggies.

KC Concepcion made quite the first impression in his debut, providing a spark to Kyle Field with an 80-yard punt return early in the first quarter and added a receiving touchdown five minutes before halftime.

His kick return, part of a unit that head coach Mike Elko wanted more explosiveness out of, was the first by an Aggie since Ainias Smith took one 82 yards against Arkansas in September of 2023.

He could have added two more on a deep ball overthrown by quarterback Marcel Reed in the first quarter and a score
