Perth’s run of clear, crisp days are set to come to an end this week, as a cold front brings seven days of rain from Monday.

Showers are expected to start on Monday afternoon, and continue through the rest of the week, including up to 15mm on Wednesday and the chance of a thunderstorm on Wednesday.

While the rain will ease from Thursday, it’s not expected to stay dry for long, with another cold front sweeping through the city on Sunday, bringing another 15mm on Sunday.

It follows a run of colder days last week, including a low point of 3.7 degrees on Thursday morning.

But the showers will likely add little to June’s rainfall, which currently sits at 101mm — well below the long run average for Perth at this time of year.
