The Powerball jackpot has leaped to $1.10 billion after there were no big grand prize winners in Saturday's drawing.
Wednesday's winning numbers are That resulted in three $2 million winners in Colorado, Indiana and New Hampshire and nine $1 million winners in Florida, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pensilvania and 4 in California.
The $1.10 billion jackpot is for an annuity option, paid over 30 years. Winners almost always opt for the lump-sum cash prize, which for Powerball would be $498.4 million cash.
This is the seventh Powerball jackpot to hit the $1-billion mark in the lottery's 33-year history.
The prize is subject to taxes , which includes an automatic withholding tax of 24% levied against the winnings, and another 13% in federal taxes when you file your 2025 return.
