Portions of S.W. Water Street in Peoria will be closed to traffic on Monday, September 1, from 6:45 a.m. until 9 a.m. due to the Bridge to Bridge Run. The event is sponsored by the Illinois Valley Striders.

During this time, through traffic on S.W. Water Street should use S.W. Washington Street as an alternative route. Drivers are advised to exercise caution along the race route and consider using other streets.

The closures will affect S.W. Water Street between Liberty Street and Harrison Street, as well as between Commercial Street and Walnut Street. In addition, no through traffic will be allowed on Commercial Street from Harrison Street to S.W. Water Street.
