Franky Ketchum loved to sing "Elvira" and the national anthem, asked women he'd just met "Are you married?" and was best friends with his big sister, Kathy Herbst, until the day he died.
So Kathy is confident about how her outgoing brother — who was 63 when he passed in March 2025 —
"Franky would say, "That's ME," said the Merritt Island resident, eyes glistening but a smile spreading across her face. "'That's ME!'"
Flanked by family, Kathy will be there on Sept. 6 to see the smiling image of Franky tipping his sparkly gold hat in that famous part of New York. . Those featured — children, teens, and adults with Down syndrome from around the world — were chosen from around 2,600 applicants for the annual tribute.
