MOOSIC, P.A. (WSYR) -- The Syracuse Mets were able to pick up a win on the road against Scranton Wilkes-Barre on Saturday night thanks to their pitching ace, Brandon Sproat. Sproat pitched seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts and only three hits. That shutout the Railriders and the offense did the rest. Yonny Hernandez sent a solo homer out to right field to push them ahead 1-0. Ryan Clifford sealed the deal in the ninth with a single to make it 2-0.

Syracuse ends its six-game series with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. First pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
