Firefighters held a brushfire in the Angeles National Forest to a quarter-acre Saturday.
The fire was first reported on X about 3:55 p.m. along the Angeles Crest (2) Highway near Woodwardia Canyon, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
An hour later, forest officials reported the fire was holding at 1/4 acre and that the roadway would remain closed until firefighters finished putting out hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
The cause was not immediately known.
