COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Two brothers in Compton are heartbroken and distraught after their mother was tragically killed in a car crash.

Mary Cuevas died when the vehicle she was in flew over an embankment along the 91 Freeway and landed upside down.

Miguel Medina Delgado Jr. - one of her sons - spoke with Eyewitness News on Friday and said he and his brother were following their parents when they saw the car lose control and crash in front of them.

He said he and his brother must live with the nightmare of knowing they witnessed their mother's death.

"There's not going to be another day when I can see my mom," said Delgado. "She was the best that could ever happen to me."

"As soon as it happened, we pulled over and we were like, 'No, no, no, no,'" he added.
