The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed offensive lineman Dylan Cook to their practice squad. He cleared waivers after they released him, and now the Steelers bring him back for his third season with them.
Cook can play every spot on the offensive line but center, giving the Steelers a quality depth piece to work with in Cook.
Veteran Andrus Peat passed Cook on the depth chart after the team’s first preseason game, which signaled Cook would be left off the roster.
Cook is entering his third season with the team. The Steelers have a lot they want to see from him, and Mike Tomlin would not crown him even after getting some first team reps at times in training camp.
