Carnival Cruise Line Finally Says Goodbye To Coveted U.S. Location All These Years Later

Carnival Cruise Line continues to announce major schedule changes. Just in the last couple of days, Carnival announced new locations, while axing some of its most coveted hot spots. Among its recent moves was bringing back a risky location 15 years later . That's right, Carnival announced a special visit to Acapulco, Mexico, in 2027.

On the flip side, the cruise line pulled the plug on a coveted Royal Caribbean destination . With RC's plans to expand in Costa Maya in 2027, Carnival decided to reduce its options quietly. There are still Western Caribbean options available from New Orleans, Tampa, and Galveston. Still, these options will shrink heading into 2026, with only one option on the Carnival Legend between December 2026 and April 2027.
