BRANTFORD – A Brantford drug dealer has been convicted of manslaughter in the death of one of a trio of golfers who took fentanyl-laced cocaine.
Jeremy G. Folk sold the cocaine to one of three golf buddies on June 13, 2020. All three had a bad reaction to the drug at a Grey Street home in Brantford and one of them – Robert (Rob) Davies, 44 – died as a result.
“(Folk) committed the unlawful act of trafficking in a controlled substance,” Justice Joseph R. Henderson said in his ruling. “The unlawful act presented an objectively foreseeable risk of bodily harm and the unlawful act was a legal cause of Rob’s death.”
