A motorcyclist died early Sunday after colliding with a curb at an intersection on the city's west side, according to Colorado Springs police.

According to an online police blotter report, just after midnight, a motorcyclist struck a curb at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and South 32nd Street.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The police department's major crash team is investigating; investigators believe that speed was a factor in the crash.
