•Scott Lindsey, a 44-year-old autistic man from Hammond, was attacked on his bicycle by a group of juveniles who accused him of following too closely while riding through Hessville Park.
•Six of his teeth were knocked out by one of the attackers before Lindsey staggered to his feet and rode home after his work day at the Jewel store in Munster.
•The Aug. 15 attack was captured on video by one of the juveniles and posted on social media. Lindsey’s stepfather, Brian Beatty, shared it with me with a request for a column to warn others .
