KINGSTON, N.Y. — Knights of Columbus Council No. 275 is sponsoring a citizenship essay contest for students in grades 8 through 12.

Essays should be between 500 and 750 words. The topic is, “out of the 267 popes that have led the Catholic Church, who are your three favorite and why?” Winners will be awarded a cash prize. Students should list their home parish.
