The Cowboys and former All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland have agreed to terms of a new deal in the form of a four-year, $92 million extension, the team announced.
Bland, 26, now has the fifth-highest contract in the NFL among cornerbacks in terms of average annual value. Only Sauce Gardner , Derek Stingley Jr. , Jaycee Horn and Patrick Surtain II make more on an average annual basis than Bland, who will now average $23.04 million per season.
"I'm so happy for him," Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said of Bland's extension on Sunday. "Well deserved. ... Another guy who perfectly fits our defense."
