HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — An investigation is underway after two teens were shot, one of them fatally, at a large party in east Harris County Saturday night, according to the sheriff's office .
The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. on Waldine Street, which is near where the East Freeway meets Beltway 8.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said there were around 200 people attending the party. They said there was a band playing and organizers were charging admission.
At some point during the party, HCSO said a 17-year-old victim was approached by several other people, and a fight broke out. That's when the shooting happened. The sheriff's office believes the 17-year-old was targeted by the suspects.
