EL CAJON (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The person accused of fatally stabbing a 20-year-old man in El Cajon back in April is scheduled to appear in court this week.
Manuel Junior Aparicio, 25, is expected to stand before a judge on Tuesday, Sept. 2 in an East County courthouse.
Aparicio was arrested a couple days after El Cajon police officers responded to multiple calls of a stabbing in the 200 block of Cypress Avenue in the early morning hours of April 8.
According to police, the victim, 20-year-old Josiah Kamillus McNeil, had been involved in a physical fight with Aparicio prior to the stabbing. After the incident, he was taken to the hospital where he later died, authorities said.
