A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Maple Ridge.
Ridge Meadows RCMP report on Aug. 30, at approximately 11:02 pm, an officer on patrol was flagged down in the 20400-block of Lougheed Hwy.
An initial investigation revealed a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Attending police officers administered first-aid to the man, and Maple Ridge Fire Rescue and Emergency Health Services attended the scene. The man was transported to hospital but later died.
“BCEHS received calls about a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in the 20400-block of Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge at 11:05 pm last night," BCEHS Spokesperson Bowen Osoko said.
