Kirkland police and fire units were called to the Bridle Trails Grocery Outlet Sunday afternoon after a woman crashed her car into the front of the building.

The driver and three shoppers — two women and a minor son of one of the women — were injured in the crash in the 6600 block of 132nd Avenue Northeast just before 2 p.m., said Angela Brown, a spokesperson for Kirkland’s police and fire departments.

One of the shoppers died en route to the hospital but Brown did not know which one, nor could she immediately provide ages of those injured.

Medics transported the victims to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Overlake Hospital in Bellevue and EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland, she said. Their conditions were not immediately known.
