ESCALANTE, Garfield — A boil order was issued in the city of Escalante over calls of “muddy water” detected in the water system.
According to the city’s website, city staff had confirmed that a call came in about seeing “muddy water,” but no sampling has been done at this time.
The city said they have begun investigating and is planning to resolve the issue.
The boil order was issued to inform the public to boil all water that is planned for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.
