Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani has been injured in a car crash in New Hampshire, his spokesman said.

Giuliani, 81, was struck from behind Aug. 30 by a vehicle traveling at high speed while riding on the highway in an unspecified part of New Hampshire, his spokesman, Michael Ragusa, said in an Aug. 31 post on X.

According to Reuters, the crash occurred near Manchester, N.H.

The Palm Beach resident sustained a fractured thoracic vertebra, “multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg,” Ragusa wrote. Giuliani was taken to a trauma center for treatment, where he was joined by his business partner and medical provider.
