Queen Camilla told Boris Johnson about an assault that occurred on a train when she was a schoolgirl, a new book claims.

While he was serving as mayor of London, Camilla disclosed to Johnson that she had used a shoe to hit a man who tried to touch her on a train, a book by former Times royal correspondent Valentine Low says.

According to an extract of ‘Power And The Palace’, Johnson’s former communications director Guto Harri recalled the-then mayor telling him about the meeting that took place at Clarence House in around 2008.

In the extract, published in the Sunday Times , Harri said of the pair: “They obviously got on like a house on fire.

“He (Johnson) was making guttural noises about how much he admired and liked her.”
