Chicago police are alerting business owners on the city’s South and West sides about a series of early-morning burglaries took occurred in a matter of days in which offenders used a Jeep Grand Cherokee to crash into storefronts and steal merchandise.

The incidents occurred in the Wentworth, Grand Crossing, Englewood and Harrison police districts, the alert said. Police said offenders used a Jeep Grand Cherokee break into the front doors or windows of closed businesses, gathered merchandise and took off in the Jeep and other vehicles.

Police listed four locations for recent incidents:

6900 block of South Ashland Avenue on Aug. 19 at 4:40 a.m. (Englewood) 3300 block of South MLK Drive on Aug. 24 at 5:49 a.m. (Wentworth) 3200 block of West Chicago Avenue on Aug. 25 at 3:09 a.m. (Harrison)
