Police in Merrimack, New Hampshire, are issuing a public safety announcement this Labor Day weekend after the department received multiple calls of bears roaming around town.
Merrimack police say they are not sharing the location of these sightings for the safety of the bears and the public, but they want people to use extra caution and remember that wildlife is everywhere.

According to police, residents may see a bear or two out walking around or foraging for food and smashing bird feeders. Anyone who sees a bear is reminded to not approach them, to not feed them, and to not stop to take photos or videos.
Residents should also not feed pets outside, police added. They should remove all outdoor bird feeders, secur
