MACON, Ga. — A church in west Macon is keeping its spirits up after a car crashed into its building overnight on Sunday.

The Abundant Word of Grace Church, located on Napier Avenue, suffered serious damage to parts of the church after a car crashed into its building.

Georgia State Patrol said a driver was being chased by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office before he crashed in the building. Coroner Leon Jones and GSP said Larry Sellers Jr., 37, collapsed and died after he got out of his car and ran.

Pastor Hilliard Arline IV said he got a call around 12:30 a.m. from the sheriff's office that there was an accident and he needed to get to the church right away.

Despite the worries about his church, Arline's mind was elsewhere when he was driving.
