A British woman has been stabbed to death while in the Cambodia, with reports suggesting she had been involved in a love triangle.

The woman has since been identified as 34-year-old Jessica Cariad Hopkins after being found dead near a popular garden in the country's capital, Phnom Penh, on Friday.

Chuon Narin, deputy commissioner general and commissioner of Phnom Penh Police, said the victim was found on Friday with stab wounds near a popular garden in the capital's Chamkarmon district on Friday.

A 33-year-old woman, who is also believed to be a foreign national, was arrested in connection with the stabbing on Saturday afternoon.
