Week 0 of the high school football season is in the books and it was another week of outstanding performances.

Cole Aquino, Washington Township. The senior quarterback completed 8-of-11 passes for 157 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 20 yards an a fourth score as the Minutemen marched to a 43-14 victory over Hillsborough during Friday’s Battle at the Beach game at Rowan University.

Aidan Barbato, Gateway. Sparking the Gators’ second season-opening win in three years, the senior running back rushed 13 times for 157 yards and three scores during a 29-7 home triumph against Middle Township.

Aiden Binns, Burlington Township.
