ATLANTA — A man was shot and killed Monday morning in Atlanta on Campbellton Road. Police said it was the ex-boyfriend of a woman, and the shooter is her current boyfriend.

11Alive's Dan Kennedy went to the scene, where the call came in just after 5 a.m. Atlanta Police Homicide Commander Andrew Smith said the man who was shot, described as in his 50s, was dead on arrival.

Police are currently working to locate the suspected shooter. The woman was said to be cooperating with police at headquarters.

A property manager who spoke to 11Alive said she believes a dispute had been ongoing between the woman and ex-boyfriend for months and that three children were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.
