PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s Something Good when donors and volunteers come together to raise money for a worthy cause, benefitting Phoenix Children’s Hospital .
The hospital held its annual Give-A-Thon week , hosted by KTAR News 92.3 and Arizona Sports 98.7. This year, the event raised nearly $2.5 million. Communities across Arizona gathered during the week-long fundraiser to help support world class care for kids.
Officials say the radio-thon is a critical source of funding for the hospital’s greatest needs, such as supporting research, receiving state-of-the-art technology, recruiting lead physicians and implementing programs that make the hospital a comfortable environment for kids.
