LEBANON, Tenn. — IndyCar 's Rookie of the Year battle came down to a pair of blocking penalties , including one with under 10 laps to go that flipped the battle between Louis Foster and Robert Shwartzman on its head.

In the end, Foster, the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver and 2024 Indy NXT champion who entered Sunday's season finale at Nashville Superspeedway with an eight-point cushion on the Prema Racing rookie, prevailed.
