EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State football head coach Jonathan Smith spoke to the media on Monday afternoon at Spartan Stadium to preview the matchup against Boston College on Saturday night and recap the Spartans’ win over Western Michigan last Friday.

The Spartans won their season opener on Friday night, beating Western Michigan 23-6.

MSU lost to Boston College 23-19 on a rainy night in Chestnut Hill last season. The Spartans will look to avenge the loss on Saturday in East Lansing at 6:30 p.m., broadcast on NBC.
