PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- If you're prone to looking up at the night sky, there is a chance you might get a spectacular aurora borealis display on Monday night.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Washington and parts of Oregon could see the Northern Lights tonight, with optimal viewing conditions.
In NOAA's latest forecast, the viewing line for the Northern Lights covers all of Washington and passes over the northernmost parts of Oregon, as well as parts of Wallowa County in Eastern Oregon.
Viewing conditions are dependent on the weather, and conditions in Portland are forecasted to be partly cloudy today, so there could be a chance of visibility.
