A 14-year-old boy has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after being stabbed in Bermondsey. Police and paramedics were called to Alscot Road shortly before 6.50pm on Saturday, August 30 to reports of a group of boys carrying weapons.

The teenage victim was found at the scene near Bermondsey Spar Gardens after being knifed in the stomach. He was taken to hospital where he remains.

No arrests have been made so far, the Metropolitan Police said, with the force now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesperson said: "Police were called at 6.48pm on Saturday, August 30 to Alscot Road, SE1 following reports of a group of boys carrying weapons. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a 14-year-old boy was located with a stab wound to his stomach.
